This next appliance came into my home on a fluke. Scott and I were throwing a party two years ago and we needed an easy method for serving tea. My father-in-law lent us his 3 liter electric-thermo pot. Afterward, when we both raved about how much we loved it, we were generously gifted the pot.

It is by far our most often used kitchen appliance. We are tea fans, both caffeinated and herbal, so having a ready source of hot water makes the process instant. The hot water also cuts down on soup prep time; we just add hot water and things are bubbling and cooking in no time. (It isn’t an understatement to say we eat soup at least three times a week.)

So while this appliance isn’t a must have, it is my most beloved kitchen tool.
