If you are thinking about getting pregnant or you and your partner have been trying to get pregnant, this chart is for you. For more information about charting your basal body temperature and what it teaches you about ovulation, pregnancy, and your hormones over the course of a monthly cycle, read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Wescheler.
Read this, and multiple links to several research abstracts and summaries.
and if that wet your appetite and you'd like access to the same afterbirth services, Placenta Benefits may have a placenta encapsulation specialist in your area.

The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health
Toni Wescheler, MPH
Loaded with practical and well presented information. It's hands on learning about your cycle and your fertility. This is a book every woman should read. I also highly recommend charting your basal body temperature for three or more cycles. This will allow you to have a dialog with your practitioner about your hormone cycles and reveal any potential problems.
Penny Simkin, P.T.
Fantastic book! A must read for the mother-to-be and her birth partner. This book is a wealth of information about labor, how to prepare, and walks you through the different stages of labor so that you know what to expect. The tone is down to earth, and while nothing can truly prepare you for your own birth experience, this book may be the grounding element for mothers and birth partners to the big, wide unknown of childbirth.
Roger Goldberg, M.D., M.P.H.
Important book, valuable information. Goldberg lays out the potential risks to your body during and after childbirth (either vaginal-birth or c-section). He discusses what you can do and gives you the information that you need in order to make informed decisions. Read this book.
Tracy Hogg
I've selected this book because it has relevance to your health. Understanding your baby will help you and your partner make better decisions, and most importantly it will help you get those extra hours of sleep you so desperately need. You may or may not agree with Tracy Hogg on every subject, but she does bring a wealth of empirical knowledge to the table with her E.A.S.Y. & S.L.O.W. anacronyms.
Peggy Vincent
I loved this book! But I am a glutton for birth stories. Funny and well written, this book is for anyone who finds birth a miracle. Also if you are a considering your birth plan, an alternative to hospital delivery or simply interested in reading more about the wide and diverse range of birth experiences, this is a fun read! Disclaimer: if you are uncomfortable with female body parts, graphic descriptions of labor, and/or the human body in general, probably best you don't read this book.
